Event Overview
Institutions are adopting innovation uses of lecture capture tools to engage students, reach external audiences and challenge the boundaries of the traditional classroom as access to recording devices and technologies becomes more available. The presenters for this workshop will share their experience using video in and out of the classroom that extends the traditional use of lecture capture tools. During the day, through presentations and conversations, attendees will learn how institutions meet accessibility regulations, support user requests, and create recording spaces to meet faculty demand. Hands-on “play-time” is part of the agenda to allow attendees the opportunity to speak with the presenters and explore solutions that may be implemented on their campus.
Session Outcomes:
- Gain insight into different approaches to video and how you may support user requests
- Identify the challenges, opportunities, and tools to address accessibility requirements
- Engage in conversation around innovative approaches to the use of video on your campus
- Develop a toolkit to support video initiatives on your campus
- Network and make connections with colleagues.
