Event Overview

In this workshop, attendees will explore how to use Design Thinking – an empathy-based approach – to enhance faculty development initiatives. Together, we will discuss and debate design thinking strategies, consider real-world examples, and apply concepts to a faculty development scenario. You will gather useful feedback and ultimately be able to consider whether a Design Thinking approach may have resonance for a faculty development initiative at your institution.

Participants will:

-Understand Design Thinking concepts within the overall faculty development context.
-Learn how real-world cases of faculty development initiatives can be enhanced by a design thinking approach.
-Apply Design Thinking concepts to a faculty development scenario.
