Event Overview
Join Matthew Maderos of Boston University Medical Campus IT and  David Gannon Director of Campus Technology of Bryant University and how they are using Metrics in their current roles.

This workshop will focus on how Universities have been using metrics to allocate limited IT resources and improve the health of Support Services. Most IT departments have ticketing systems logging tickets, but is that data being used to get a picture of the health of the IT department? The day will look at the future of quantitative and qualitative metrics and the importance to understand and integrate these findings with the strategic priorities of the institution. As IT evolves so do metrics.

- The importance of metrics and why you need them
  - Which measurements are irrelevant and which one’s management need to know
  - Tips and tricks for creating great metrics
  - How the Service Desk is the key to understanding what is working well
  - A look at some great Service desk metrics and how to use them
