EDUCAUSE-NERCOMP Workshop Series for New Managers - Fall 2019 

This is a three-day series. Participants must attend all three days. The dates and locations are below:

The registration covers the three days of in-person meeting, all course material, all lunches, morning breaks.

Event Overview
The curriculum is targeted at early-stage leaders: recently appointed or aspiring managers or supervisors. The program focuses on the practical knowledge and skills needed to succeed in management and leadership in higher education. Topics to be covered include interpersonal communication skills; budget and finance; managing time and priorities; project management; leadership modes; and performance management.

Participants should expect to reflect on themes of the series through readings and assignments both between sessions and before the first session. 

The program is a three-day series. When registering, you must commit to attending all three days; the dates are September 25, October 30, and November 13, of 2019. Each day's program will run from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Prior participants traveling a long distance have found that they get the most out of each day when they stay the night before at a nearby hotel. Seats are limited, register now.  Registration closes Monday, September 9th or when class is filled. 
 

Please note:
This series is available in two formats so you can select the one that works better for you.
--The hybrid offering takes place spring 2020. It is held online for 6 weeks and meet in-person for 2 days in New York City at the end.

--The face-to-face offering will be held on 3 days during the Fall of 2019. You will attend a full day *once per month* over three consecutive months.
