Event Overview
Network analytics have moved beyond the manufacturer space and into a broader array of tools and products. Analytics are available for a variety of protocols, services, and applications. They can provide detailed information of both wired and wireless network performance, often including very granular data. Gartner has a magic quadrant for network performance tools.  These tools are often expensive and have a learning curve. How valuable are they? In an increasingly customer-centric IT environment being proactive is becoming critical to maintaining a high performing network. Concurrently, budgets continue to tighten and these tools can often be a luxury.

This workshop explores some of the tools available with customer/vendor partner presentations and a panel discussion.

Session Outcomes:
- Are manufacturer provided tools enough?
- How do I evaluate where to focus our efforts?
- How do I balance proactive versus reactive responsiveness?
