Event Overview
Oh no, I've been asked to manage a project in my organization, but I have no idea where to start! Don't fret, we've got just the workshop for you!

We'll help you answer questions like where should I start, what's a project manager, and what does a project manager do (or not do) to guide a project through its lifecycle.

Using a standard project management framework, we’ll show you how to:
 - use tools and techniques to bring structure and organization to your project
 - manage your team and the work that needs to be done (whether in person or remotely), and
 - map out a framework for the vital task of communicating with your stakeholders.

We'll wrap things up, by touching on some commonly used resources to keep your projects on track.

Who should attend: This beginner workshop is intended for those with little or no project management experience.

Session Outcomes:
 - Examine the role of the project manager and how a project management framework contributes to success across a variety of project types.
 - Develop a Project Snapshot that defines the project and guides project activities.
 - Learn about activities in the project lifecycle phases using the “waterfall” project management approach.
 - Identify and address issues with managing a project working in remote or hybrid format.
