Event Overview
Improving the accessibility of the digital campus is a growing concern for many institutions. This one-day workshop is designed to arm you with strategy, implementation tools, and resources to support your work towards increasing the accessibility of your institution. We will share practices for working toward digital accessibility, resources, and ideas to support accessibility initiatives, experiences, and outcomes at different institutions. A panel discussion will provide a broad perspective on the state of accessibility on multiple campuses. Attendees will engage in interactive sessions to experience how users with disabilities access information online, to learn how to assess accessibility using automated tools and checklists, and also to experience the process of negotiating with vendors for accessible procurement.

Session Outcomes:
· Influence the culture, values, and priorities at your institution, to build buy-in for a more accessible experience, and understand how to align accessibility strategy and budget.
· Explore how different campuses are managing compliance around accessibility including remediation planning, resourcing, training, awareness, policy development and governance.
· Learn the resources available to support accessibility work, including testing, checklists, online resources, and ways to stay up-to-date and engaged with the broader community working on this effort.
