This three-day hands-on course will familiarize students with the Final Cut Pro X interface and basic video editing techniques, then progress to an introduction of the software's advanced features. Topics include the FCP X editing workflow from capture through editing, transitions, titles, effects, retiming, sound finishing and output.

Explore the FCP X Interface
Import Media
Organize Clips in an Event
Build a Rough Cut
Finetune a Rough Cut
Add to the Primary Storyline
Apply Transitions
Work with Sound
Work with Titles, Generators and Themes
Retime and Transform Clips
Apply Effect and Enhance Color
Export and Share your Project
