NERCOMP's Program Year runs from July 1 to June 30. You are welcome to join NERCOMP at any time within the Program Year. All NEW members must pay for the full price in joining anytime from July through February of the NERCOMP fiscal year. And ONE TIME ONLY, new members joining at or near the March Conference can pay 40% of their normal full year dues to become NERCOMP members for the rest of the fiscal year to June 30.
If joining after the conference, a new member would pay the full year's amount for the following fiscal year but would receive the standard early payment discount. Essentially, the institution would receive a few months free membership by paying in advance. Once payment is received, membership would include all rights & privileges.
Membership dues are based upon an institution's Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Faculty count (Full-time count plus part-time equivalency count, as reported to IPEDS).
MEMBERSHIP FEE SCHEDULE,
effective for the July 1, 2013 - June 30, 2014 membership year
(reflects a 2% increase over 2012-2013 rates):
0-50 FTE Faculty OR Association membership: $290 annually
51-100 FTE Faculty: $580 annually
101-150 FTE Faculty: $870 annually
151-250 FTE Faculty: $1,160 annually
251-300 FTE Faculty: $1,460 annually
301-500 FTE Faculty: $2,335 annually
501 - 1000 Faculty: $2,920 annually
1000+ Faculty: $3,180 annually
Affiliate Schools including Canadian schools: $870 US dollars

Each NERCOMP member institution must assign a person on campus to be an Institutional Representative. Responsibilities of the Institutional Representative include dissemination of information from NERCOMP mailing lists, attendance at the Annual Meeting of the members, voting in the annual election and active participation in NERCOMP activities. Multi-school or multi-campus institutions may wish to consider combining their FTE counts and applying for one "umbrella" membership. An umbrella membership requires only a single Institutional Representative.
Affiliate members are institutions outside of the NERCOMP region who wish to participate in NERCOMP activities and are aligned with the central mission of NERCOMP. Institutions applying for affiliate membership must otherwise meet the standards for institutional membership: a degree-granting, accredited higher education institution.
Applicants for affiliate membership are voted on by the officers of NERCOMP, consistent with the current membership approval process for other NERCOMP member institutions.
Affiliate members may:
- Participate in all vendor and purchasing agreements open to them
*Note that some agreements may have regionalized constraints imposed by vendors and will not necessarily be available. NERCOMP works to insure that a majority of our agreements benefit a majority of our members. - Attend SIGs, trainings and other professional development at member rates
* There is limited distribution of programs through alternate media and most are face-to-face within the NERCOMP geographic area. - Attend the annual conference at member rates
- Participate on board committees as non-board members (i.e. licensing, membership, etc)
- Participate on the annual conference committee
- Participate as a SIGMaster
- Have an appointed/selected institutional representative
Affiliate members may not:
- Vote in Board Elections
- Be elected to the Board
* The primary mission of the organization is to serve institutional members in the Northeast region of the United States. For this reason, Board elections and Board membership are restricted to full member institutions in the region.
