Job Title: Director of Operations

Status: Full-time, exempt

Supervisor: Executive Director of Five Colleges, Incorporated

General Description: This is a new position in the Five College Consortium (FCI). The inaugural Director of Operations is expected to work with the Executive Director during a period of transition and evolution for the Consortium, helping to build internal structures, procedures, and policies to support the effective and efficient functioning of Five Colleges, Inc., enhancing the ability of FCI to serve the five constituent campuses. The Director of Operations (DO) is responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of Five Colleges, Inc., including overseeing the essential administrative services on which FCI relies, including human resources and the facilities and records of the Consortium. The DO serves as a member of the Executive Director’s leadership team and as assistant treasurer of FCI.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Minimum of five to seven years’ post-baccalaureate experience, with increased responsibility over time Experience creating business processes and/or managing institutional change, and a willingness to participate in and contribute to an evolving organization Demonstrated supervisory skills Demonstrated budget management skills Demonstrated skill in using productivity technologies, learning new tools, and incorporating these tools into office practices.
