Under the general direction of the Manager of Communication Technologies or designee, the Audio Visual Engineer will provide expertise to the University of Massachusetts community in the selection, design, and Implementation of audiovisual, sound, and cabling systems as well as support of events, meetings, symposiums, classes.

•Experience with Cisco video conferencing and distance learning •Experience with live streaming production •Knowledge of Cisco, Polycom, Tandberg, Crestron, AMX, ClearOne, BiAmp, Extron systems etc. •CTS qualification is preferred (audio visual qualification from ICIA)
•Bachelor's degree in Information Science, or equivalent experience •3 years audiovisual technology experience •Demonstrated knowledge/experience on current and emerging audio and video technologies •Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Project. •Knowledge and experience in higher education/trading floor/video conference room setup •Strong liaison and negotiation skills with client, AV vendors and contractors •Able to work under pressure and fast-paced environment, willing to work extended hours •Excellent oral and written communication skills •Ability to travel to off-site locations.
