The Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) at Rhode Island College is accepting applications for six (6), part-time remote-work, Instructional Designer (IDs) positions. These positions are expected to last up to 3 months at 19 hours per week; these positions may be extended beyond the 3 months.

The IDs will work collaboratively with faculty in the design of high quality and effective online courses that meet best practices. This is the perfect opportunity for IDs seeking part-time remote work with a flexible schedule.

The FCTL offers continued professional development in teaching and learning best practices for full-time and adjunct faculty. The IDs will aid faculty in developing online courses over the summer for fall 2020 instruction.

Required qualifications include: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, or related field (ABD doctoral candidates will also be considered) and a minimum of two years of any combination of relevant coursework or online instructional design experience. Preferred qualifications: Experience relevant to higher education.
