Reporting to the Senior Director for Enterprise Technology Services, the Integrations and Applications Developer II is responsible for the integrations, development, and support of enterprise applications at Berklee to support the institution’s strategic goals and business customer needs. This includes analyzing needs, determining specification/requirements, developing solutions, designing application programs, and building integrations. This position will work collaboratively to assist in all phases of the SDLC on a team that provides ongoing operational development and change management support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Design, develop, and maintain integrations between multiple ERP systems and enterprise applications (60%)

-Design, develop, and support other home-grown applications (15%)

-Gather requirements and evaluate and document technical and functional specifications against available systems and functionality (10%)

-Backup support for other applications within the Enterprise Technology team (10%)

-Ensure code review and provide knowledge transfer to team members (5%)

-Design sustainable, scalable, and integrated solutions which may include applications, databases, networks, and related systems.

-Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

-5-7 years hands on experience developing solutions for enterprise-wide initiatives using a variety of programming languages.

-Minimum 3 years experience in developing in SaaS cloud environments.

-SnapLogic experience ideal, Mulesoft or Informatica accepted.

-Ability to translate functional requirements into technology requirements that leverage the existing technology stack.

-OS: Windows, Mac, Linux experience.

-Eclipse, Java experience.

-Programming including PHP, JSON, Python, Perl, SQL, CSS, XML.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

-Understanding of applications, tools, methodologies, as well as a broad background in a variety of enterprise applications, including development in cloud environments.

-Understanding of release management.

-Knowledge of database systems and integrations platforms..

-Knowledge and experience with modern project management tools and methodologies.

-Knowledge of IT Service Management best practices (e.g. ITIL).

-Web development a plus.

-Workday cloud platform experience a plus.

-Higher Education experience a plus.

-Jitterbit or other ETL tool a plus.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

-Self-motivated and highly engaged.

-Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on cross-functional teams.

-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats with both technical and business users.

-Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize, and escalate while delivering results on time.

-Ability to build strong partnerships with clients in a wide range of roles, across the institution.

-Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
