Position Summary:

Information Technology Services (ITS) is a department dedicated to being a valued strategic partner by providing exceptional technology services in alignment with the mission and goals of Manhattan College. ITS works to foster strong relationships with coworkers and our end user community through effective communication, collaboration, and consensus building.

The IT Data and Process Analyst will work closely with clients and the business to identify and analyze core business processes and workflows with the goal digital transformation, IT modernization and the creation of detailed documentation of processes and workflows. Automation, process/data correctness, and synchronization are key and this position will draw on a strong technical foundation to solve problems in an innovative manner using a variety of IT tools. Facilitate and provide training as to the current processes and procedures to use with the multitude of administrative software.

Primary Responsibilities:

Implementation and re-implementation of administrative software such as Banner, Clear Company ATS, Workflow, Degreeworks, Banner Document Management, Argos, Tableau, and others.

Design, develop, document, test, debug business processes and procedures.

Facilitate digital transformation by reviewing and rearchitecting all business processes and procedures to bring them in line with modern best practices.

Ability to quickly learn new software to a proficient level and assist clients in becoming subject matter experts in their area of usage.

Ability to assist in the creation and implementation and documentation of workflows and procedures as well as the complete documentation thereof.

Assist in integration of data across multiple software packages using a variety of tools and programming languages

with a strong concentration on SQL and Python.

Utilize ticketing systems and check for new and review existing assigned and unassigned tickets by logging in and continuously monitoring.

The candidate will have:

A strong foundation in math and science.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and independence.
Ability to bring projects and/or tasks to closure in a timely manner.
Monitor appropriate release notes for key administrative software.
Utilize vendor support centers/ticketing.
Work on special projects/tasks and other additional duties as assigned.

Collaborate with unit managers, end users, IT staff, and other stakeholders to integrate data mining applications with existing systems.

Design functional, easy-to-understand reports and dashboards with existing and new tool sets.

Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of new BI software tools and systems.

Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary with the goal of teaching the end user rather than doing it for them.

Design and develop user-friendly graphics, dashboards, and interfaces for business partners.

Provide thought leadership and data visualization.

Provide development and consultative services to data visualization users across the organization.
