Yale University Summer Session
Reporting to the Director of Online Education & Information Technology, the YSS IT Manager will be responsible for the operational administration of the department’s student information systems (SIS), Technolution’s Slate (CRM), Cvent, and Banner (ERP). The IT Manager will be an integral part of the admissions team responsible for the administration, development operations, configuration, and maintenance of the CRM platforms. In addition, this position will manage the daily operations of our Ellucian Banner ERP including course and student record management and reporting. The Manager will ensure the accuracy and reliability of YSS data for its use in the administration of YSS functions. The Manager will support staff in querying and analyzing of data for strategic and operational purposes. Continually research and develop best practices for department business system administration to leverage technologies to meet present and future business requirements. Responsible for documenting student information processes and procedures. The Manager serves as a steward of student records and performs duties with utmost security and confidentiality, and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop front-end CRM applications; configure back-end business rules and logic to streamline process and user experience. Collaborate with department leadership and staff to implement improvements to admissions workflows, outreach communications, and CRM development activities. Responsible for the training and support of staff for YSS SIS. Engage vendors to leverage CRM functionality and improvements through training and technology enhancements. Create and analyze data reports from CRMs and Banner. Build and maintain system queries and data visualizations. Document data procedures and best practices, create manuals and user guides for backend processes and for staff functions. Provide ongoing training and support for Slate users and reporting in the department. Extract pertinent data and build detailed reports for leadership team. Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze and interpret data. Use graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data. Maintain currency of information technology systems and best practices. Support team members in their day-to-day SIS duties. Other duties as assigned.

High-level verbal and written communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
