Status: Full-time, exempt

Summary:

Montserrat College of Art seeks a technical support staff member for the Center for Technology Solutions (CTS). Perform installations, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, and general management of our Windows server and client environment. Support Mac OS X environment in tandem with our Macintosh Administrator

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:

Provide support and maintenance for hardware and software, including servers, desktop and infrastructure
Manage Windows computers on campus, utilizing PDQ Inventory / Deploy
Provide faculty with support on our Learning Management System (Canvas LMS)
Provide presentation technology support in the classroom
Answer CTS phone, transfer calls, and assign support tickets as needed
Lead IT coordinator for all College events
Support faculty, staff, and student software and hardware needs
Provide general IT related support as necessary
Assist with oversight and training of student technicians
Additional duties assigned as appropriate

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in information technology and higher education is preferred

Skills:

Strong familiarity with Mac OS X and Windows operating systems
Strong familiarity with PDQ Inventory / Deploy
Experience with Canvas LMS, Adobe CC, JAMF Pro are preferred
Networking experience is preferred
Familiarity with Windows Server and Group Policy
Familiarity with Databases / CRM a plus
Ability to explain technology in layman’s terms to a general audience is essential.
Strong customer service skills are required.
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
Works well on both group and individual projects
Excellent organizational skills and ability to accomplish multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Enthusiastic about classroom technology, emerging technologies, and enhancing the academic programs

BA is preferred; or technical certificates and experience
