This position requires an in-depth technical understanding of Learning Management Systems. This person must be strategic-minded, with the ability to envision improving the LMS, lead the work to achieve the vision and manage the associated changes. They will be required to be proficient in the technology of the LMS, be able to direct technical staff to achieve the goals of projects and be able to guide and mentor the technical LMS staff. Elevated communication skills/soft skills are required for the position. Demonstrated proficiency in working with different constituencies (staff, faculty and students) in understanding and assessing the needs of the community, focusing on continuous improvements to the LMS.
Collaborates with the LMS community at Brandeis to determine direction of the LMS platform and services. Documenting of the proposals and socializing the proposed changes with all constituencies across the campus for review, and approval providing direction for the applications technical team. Leads efforts to assess and improve LMS suite of technology services. Provide strategic direction for the product development of the LMS Suite of systems (LMS road map).
In partnership with management, plan and implement projects that have been approved for the LMS suite of applications. Create project documentation, determine time lines for the work, and coordinate all activities surrounding these projects. Act as lead liaison for these projects between stakeholders and technology staff. Coordinate the testing, documentation, and training around the LMS suite of applications.
Mentor LMS Technical staff. Responsible for writing process and procedures for the LMS suite of applications.
