Provide technical hardware and peripheral assistance in the form of set-up, testing, installation and maintenance of all audio video classroom technology systems endorsed by Digital Instruction and Information Services (DIIS). Service and maintain classroom and other learning spaces equipment and provide telephone support for client inquiries and problems. Replace technology equipment in classroom learning spaces as part of the Classroom Management Program.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience installing, troubleshooting, and configuring classroom technology and audio-video components, or the equivalent technical certifications; working knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems, network technology, and instructional and academic applications including Microsoft Office, email, and web-based applications; outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to provide strategic guidance and counsel to stakeholders; self-motivated and proactive; works effectively with limited oversight and direction; attentive to detail; organized; ability to effectively manage resources, projects, priorities and deadlines. Superior commitment to servicing others with empathy, timeliness, accuracy, thoroughness, and professionalism; able and willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; a valid New York State driver's license or ability to obtain one and the ability to work overtime are required. Previous experience working with Crestron audio-video control systems; experience working with faculty, staff and students in higher education are preferred.
