COMPENSATION: Salary Range: $44,874-$50,000 (9 months). Actual salary will be commensurate with education and experience in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full State benefits package.

Under the direction of the Dean of Business & Technology, works constructively/collaboratively with the faculty in the department to provide cybersecurity and computer information systems instruction and student evaluation, advise students; assists in curriculum development, participates in program review, department meetings and division meetings, performs college service, and recruits students.


Class preparation utilizing a wide variety of teaching methods and modalities.
Promotion of working relationships with internal support groups and external agencies utilized by the college for student experiences.
Active participation in Committees, including evaluation of the programs, curriculum development, and recruitment work.
Creation of classroom and laboratory experiences, including simulation, demonstration, and evaluation of program goals.
Maintenance of professional expertise in areas of specialization.
Active participation in implementation and evaluation of general education goals within each academic program.
Active support to CIS programs designed to recruit, maintain, and graduate students representing underrepresented students in the programs.
Participates in department, division, and college meetings; serves on College governance committees and other committees as requested.
Active support and participation in local initiatives, such as STEM, Workforce Development, and IT groups.
Assists in development of pathways into credit programs and transfer institutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in computer information systems, computer science or related field; Minimum two years of work experience in related field; Experience teaching and/or training in related subject matter; Ability to teach cyber security and foundational computer concepts courses as well as courses in one or more of the following areas: systems administration, operating systems, IT certification and support, or network administration; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to integrate computer technology into instruction; Commitment to and understanding of the mission of the community college; Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student body. NOTES: A teaching demonstration will be part of the interview process.
