The University of Maine System’s End User Technology team has an opening for an Operations Engineer. We are looking to add to our team of people to support MECM and Azure services. We are also looking towards the future and what modern management tools we should be supporting. This person filling this position is detail-oriented and can support, configure, and design our endpoint management systems. Our systems support both campus administrative and educational endpoints. In this role, you will work across the organization and collaborate with team members, other campus units, and vendors to support on-premise and vendor-hosted systems and services. Duties include technical support, troubleshooting, creating documentation, interacting with customers, ensuring security compliance, and planning future upgrades and future roadmaps. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative environment, providing excellent customer service, and continually learning about new technologies.

The work location is flexible, on any one of our seven campuses. Remote work is possible, with occasional on-site presence required.

Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary range is mid to high $50's plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents. The UMS is a recipient of the Wellness Councils of America’s Well Workplace Award and offers a wellness program.

A strong background in information technology and proficiency in all current Windows platforms is required.

Bachelors in a relevant field or combination of equivalent experience acceptable.
Working knowledge of current Apple Macintosh IOS and OSX.
Experience with an Apple IOS or OSX client configuration system.
