Provide leadership, direction and oversight for the analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance of enterprise level administrative systems and connected applications to support the needs of the University.

Possess an in-depth understanding of how New York Tech’s enterprise applications, databases, data interfaces and core business processes interact with one another and the end user experience.
Optimize information management approaches and data integration processes through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities; ensure approaches and processes do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other and business/IT strategies.
Work closely with the VP for IT and other senior level faculty/staff to develop, implement and maintain administrative systems to support the business and management needs of the University; assign priorities to requests; and set direction for application and data management enhancements/development.
Collaborate extensively with functional stakeholders and technical staff to identify business requirements, risks and potential concerns; and to plan and design the IT/IS capabilities in order to meet desired organizational objectives.
Develop and implement plans necessary to continuously upgrade/enhance enterprise applications and decision support systems to meet NYIT’s goals by researching and recommending solutions that will increase the performance, reliability, agility, and/or cost effectiveness of IT-enabled services; work with stakeholders to define functional requirements and develop supporting RFP documentation to facilitate selection of appropriate IT-enables solutions.
Function as a Senior Project Manager by providing advice and project execution support services for NYIT’s portfolio of administrative applications, reporting and data analytics support systems, databases, data interfaces and core business processes; plan and design the IT/IS capabilities in order to meet desired organizational objectives.
Provide process re-engineering direction to administrative offices; assist with the design or re-design business procedures for optimum customer service, office efficiency and maintenance of University data assets.
Develop, implement, and enforce policies and standards relating to the operation and performance of the University's IT applications and data management systems.
Assist VP for Information Technology and senior IT management team in the planning, investigation, budgeting, development and implementation of new technologies and services to meet changing needs of the community; assist with the development and implementation of divisional goals and objectives; identify new areas of technical opportunities and/or risks; develop cost-benefit analyses in support of recommended initiatives.
Lead data governance efforts; ensure that data standards and administrative office policies & procedures for maintaining data standards within New York Tech’s core enterprise systems are being consistently reviewed and applied.
Oversee the management and execution of the annual IT Controls audit; coordinate responses and deliverables; ensure corrective action of findings; participate in external application testing engagements and other internal IT audits as needed.
Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals that includes application administrators, business analysts/programmers; system developers; data architects, analysts and report writers; provide technical guidance and direction; manage staff development, training and performance.
Serve on various New York Tech committees and working groups as appropriate.
Other duties as needed and defined by the supervisor.

Knowledge of IT governance and related operations required; a proven track record of success in the direct oversight of governance activity preferred. Must possess a high degree of proficiency and integrity relative to information security as well as broad knowledge of applicable data security/privacy practices and laws.
