The Senior Enterprise Systems Manager provides server and application management support for the College’s centralized enterprise computing infrastructure and is responsible for ensuring stable, continuous, and secure delivery of mission-critical applications and services. This position provides primary technical and functional support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and the associated integrations with multiple cloud-based and on-premise applications. The Systems Manager collaborates with other members of the Enterprise Systems group to implement system provisioning and maintenance practices that are consistent with the College’s goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Within the scope of the responsibilities, the Systems Manager will install and maintain server hardware and operating system software; create and schedule necessary automated system jobs; manage evaluation, integration, and deployment of new enterprise applications and enhancements to existing applications; monitor and maintain system, database, and application performance and security; ensure database recoverability, integrity, availability, and accessibility; administer ERP system security ensuring appropriate and approved user access while following governance procedures; monitor and review system and application logs, and create and maintain detailed documentation. The System Manager will also maintain liaisons with the user community, technical staff, and support organizations for resolution of potential ERP issues and testing of new ERP processes and companion applications. The position will work and partner with all members of the ITS department to be responsive to the needs of users, address escalated issue reports, and participate in other projects as needed.

Minimum of four years of proven positive work experience managing Windows and Linux server environments. The selected candidate must demonstrate extensive knowledge of some of the major database management systems (i.e. MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Unidata, etc.) and proficiency in task automation scripting (Powershell, Unix Shell, etc.). Experience providing systems support for a college/university Enterprise Resource Planning platform (such as Ellucian Colleague, Banner, Oracle Peoplesoft) is desirable. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, experience working in a service-oriented environment, demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while working both with a team and independently.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Science or related field.
