Reporting to the Associate Director of RAD, the Systems Analyst will be a technical expert and effective communicator who will work closely with a cross-functional team across the Office of Academy Resources (OAR) on matters relating to system integration, data analysis and reporting, and database management. The Systems Analyst will serve as the contact person for data integration from different external and internal feeds and will be the technical lead for various systems used by the Academy. The duties of this position are fluid, and will include but not be limited to:
• Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design.
• Identify areas for integration across different platforms (EMMA, GiveCampus, Evertrue, Switchboard) used by OAR and the Academy.
• Design and manage automated data flow processes between and among core databases and satellite applications and tools; design and manage batch data imports as needed.
• Assist Associate Director of RAD in developing a strategy to maintain and expand the Data Warehouse, including development of a more robust ETL framework.
• Guide and train OAR on best data management practices and other applications/platforms used by OAR; partner with OAR business stakeholders to identify where data quality gaps impact analysis and recommend prioritization.
• Support developing and maintaining data governance and management policies and participate in ongoing data quality initiatives.
• Consult upon and define methods for sharing and storing data to support and enhance information access (including through reports, dashboards, and other tools). Work in close collaboration with Prospect Development and Operations Analyst and Information Systems Manager to ensure a robust data base structure.
• Lead and coordinate with business units, vendors and OIT to test, validate, and evaluate applications during routine database maintenance and administrative software and CRM upgrades.
• Participate in root cause analysis in order to make recommendations to departmental users on enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity and application optimization.
• Act as primary liaison with the Office of Information Technology to deliver technologically sound solutions to defined business requirements; provide basic SQL database administration in conjunction with the Application Administrator and System Administrators.
• Perform other duties as required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher is required. Two or more years transact-SQL programming experience, commensurate experience with reporting and data visualization tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or Tableau. Experience working with fundraising, alumni engagement, and education databases and related software is strongly preferred.
