Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Enterprise Applications, the Technical Project Manager is responsible for working as a lead on cross-functional project teams, this position is responsible for all aspects of project management from project conception and initiation to closure. This role prepares the proposal, captures the requirements, creates the project schedule, defines the project team, monitors the scope, and manages whatever additional resources, tasks, risks, and deliverables are needed to ensure a successful project outcome. Projects include work with the Academy ERP and Slate CRM systems.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, or a related field
• 4 - 7 years of experience in managing high-level, complex projects in an IT setting.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
• Experience in or with academic environments is highly beneficial.
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with ERP systems and Slate CRM preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages technology related projects including project request submissions, review, implementation, and completion of projects in coordination with other Academy departments and stakeholders.
• Works with project requestors, stakeholders, consultants, and technology colleagues to develop and or gather project requirements, specifications, and resources; review and analyze requests, prioritize projects; schedule and facilitate meetings; helps in development and management of project budgets; identify, review and select vendors or consultants to meet project needs.
• Assigns individual and team responsibilities; reviews and responds to changes in project scope, resources or required deliverables; plans, develops, prepares, and disseminates project communications; produces project reports; assures project documentation is completed and accurate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes and change requests. Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status updates to stakeholders and project team members, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.

• Experience working on project implementation and with stakeholders to lay out project objectives, timelines, and milestones for project management and monitoring.
• Experience communicating project progression, milestones, and roadblocks.
• Experience organizing and leading meetings, experience reporting on and explaining adjustments to project goals, expectations, budget, and timelines.
• Project planning and resource management skills. Knowledge of project management principles, theories, and concepts.
• Effective organization and project management skills. Experience executing projects from the initiation phase through the closure. Experience soliciting and clarifying user needs, project goals, creating proposed timelines, deliverables, and budget; listening skills.
• Working knowledge of technology-related initiatives and an understanding of impact to the organization of such initiatives. Experience leading and/or participating in technical projects involving software package implementation and/or custom development.
• Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously with same or different timelines/deadlines.
• Experience writing project summaries and status reports, making presentations to small groups and to influential leaders. Experience using graphics and/or visual tools to communicate complex ideas/issue, timelines, progress, etc.
