Matthew Fusaro
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering degree from the University of Connecticut where he led the local chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery. He was one of the first four employees at the inception of TBNG Consulting. Before shifting to sister entitites Zentific and Vancord, he managed the internal IT operations of TBNG. Among many other capabilities, he is a systems programmer, OS forensics expert, and log aggregation evangelist. Matt spearheads design and implementation of security solutions and is an integral member of any incident response engagement. Russell Jancewicz
Russell has 10 years of information security and software development experience. He holds a Masters of Computer Science and Engineering with an emphasis on software security and distributed computing. He has investigated, published, and presented research about vulnerabilities found in voting machines used throughout the United States. Russell has designed and supported identity and access management systems which provide resources to tens of thousands of users. He was a founding member of Zentific LLC, a software company focused on virtualization security.
Mike Lang
Mike Lang holds a B.S. in Computer Science & Computer Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He has a long history of defending networks with 20 years of experience in Information Security working at UCONN. He has specialized in network security and incident response as well as seeing overall security architecture throughout infrastructure. At UCONN Mike was a technical team lead of a team of four analysts. He is also certified in several courses offered by SANS including: Certified Incident Handler and Certified Forensic Analyst.
Steven Maresca
Steven has 10+ years of information security experience, designing and developing security solutions at a large public university. A recognized leader in the virtualization space, he founded a TBNG sister company, Zentific, which is a software security firm specializing in virtual machine introspection. He was an engineering lead for a DARPA Cyber Fast Track grant awarded to Zentific, resulting in pending patent applications. While attending the University of Connecticut, he participated in security research and publications. He specializes in forensics, incident response, vulnerability assessment, secure software development, identity management, and PCI compliance.
Jason Pufahl
Jason has 20 years of infrastructure and information security experience and has spent the last 15 years dedicated to information security and privacy. He is a former CISO at a large public university and founded the Connecticut Higher Education Roundtable for Information Security (CHERIS). He has a Master’s in Education Technology, holds numerous industry certifications and frequently speaks on topics related to information security technology and awareness. Jason has extensive experience in risk management, disaster recovery, identity management, security policy and regulation compliance, security analytics, security awareness and training, and technical controls implementation.
Ian Rogers
Ian has 10 yeas of experience as an information security analyst in higher education. He is a GIAC Certified Incident Handler with expertise in incident response, system forensics and log analysis. He applies machine learning techniques to efficiently answer questions regarding large data sets, and has a background in architecting large log aggregation and business intelligence deployments, and advanced Splunk administration.
