Submit a Session Idea


Do you have an innovative idea or timely insight in academic information technology that could benefit the broader NERCOMP community? Has your team launched a new initiative, led a transformative project, or developed a program others could learn from? We want to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to step into a leadership role by designing and facilitating a professional development workshop for your peers. As a workshop organizer, you’ll have the chance to:

  • Share your expertise and influence practice across institutions
  • Build leadership and facilitation skills through workshop design and delivery
  • Strengthen competencies in strategic thinking, collaboration, and communication
  • Expand your professional network and visibility within the academic IT community

To recognize your time and contributions, organizers typically receive a small honorarium (where applicable).

If you’re ready to elevate your work, develop leadership capacity, and make a meaningful impact on the field, we encourage you to propose a workshop and lead the conversation.

NERCOMP refers to its professional development workshops as Professional Development Opportunities (PDOs).  These opportunities include in-person one-day workshops, one-hour webinars, multi-day virtual workshops, Thought Partner Programs, AI Showcase Series sessions, and NERCOMP CLASS (Collaborate, Listen, Accelerate, Share & Support).
