Lisa Terrier, Director of Technology Support Services, Middlebury College

With a career in technology spanning 35 years, Lisa Terrier is driven by a passion for
operational excellence and exceptional service delivery. Her journey began in the
mainframe room at Simmonds Precision and evolved through various leadership roles
at Middlebury College. Today, as Director of Technology Support Services, she leads a
fantastic team of staff across the Service Desk, Endpoint Technology, and Audio-Visual
Integration groups, shaping these services into proactive strategic resources for the
campus community.

As a member of the CIO’s leadership team, Lisa aligns support strategies with
institutional goals, driving high-impact initiatives from modernized ticketing systems to
sustainability-focused print projects. A graduate of the MOR Associates IT Leadership
Program, Lisa is also a dedicated leader within the NERCOMP community. She is
honored to serve on the Board of Trustees, where she collaborates with a team that
understands the vital importance of staying current and supporting others across the
higher education technology landscape.

Lisa’s dedication to student-centered support is personal; while working full-time at
Middlebury, she earned her degree from Vermont College, focusing her studies on
Business Administration. This firsthand experience fuels her belief in accessible
technology and the value of lifelong learning. Currently, Lisa is contributing her expertise
to a strategic planning team, synthesizing insights from campus-wide listening sessions
to drive staff success.

Outside of her professional role, Lisa is a long-time Vermont farmer, managing a cattle
farm alongside her husband, Lee. An avid horse rider, she finds her greatest balance in
the Vermont landscape and cherishes the time she spends with her grandchildren. She
also remains a dedicated advocate for agricultural sustainability.
