Event Overview
Easy access to broadband Internet and cloud-based technologies to deliver online courses creates opportunities for higher education institutions to enroll students across borders and cultures.
However, those US-based institutions that plan expanding into international online education must accommodate changes that would facilitate the building of flexible cooperative learning and teaching models needed for implementation of online courses enrolling international students.
This workshop will examine differences in partnering institutions’ academic policies, e-pedagogical models, and cross-cultural variations in business practices. We will also discuss the use of synchronous and asynchronous technologies for creating collaborative online environments for students and teachers.
Participants/attendees of the workshop will walk out equipped with a stronger knowledge and best practices to deliver successful international online classes.
