Event Overview
The “Research Technology Services” Special Interest Group will focus on the technology services available today in our New England institutions to support our research communities. These services include high-performance computing, software licensing, bioinformatics, storage/archiving services, research data management, visualization, geospatial services (aka GIS), statistics, qualitative research, survey, … Research being a critical mission at most of NERCOMP member institutions, it’s important that one SIG is dedicated to such a topic. The world of today’s interdisciplinary research requires a portfolio of technology services that are high-quality, flexible, affordable, highly-adaptable, personalized, 24/7, reliable and safe with collaboration at the core to allow researchers at our institutions to focus on their research while IT professionals break the barriers that separate these researchers from the next discovery.
