Event Overview
Up for a challenge? Join us for Capture the Flag: The Ethical Hacking Essentials Challenge and have your essential ethical hacking skills put to the test.

Who Should Attend?:
This event is meant for beginners, but experienced CTF players and Cyber Professionals are also encouraged to participate. During this challenge, competitors will be tasked with solving 10 flags to earn their rank on the top of the leaderboard. This CTF experience is provided through the EC-Council Cyber Range platform.

What setup do you need to have to attend?
You will need a stable internet connection and a device with an updated browser.

The EC-Council Cyber Range platform operates 100% browser-based with no download or installation requirements. Starting with basic Host discovery, candidates will scan the target network and identify the IP address of a webserver after only being given the website domain. Challengers will perform essential port and service discovery, scanning, and NetBIOS enumeration for accounts and passwords. Players will also execute a Distributed Denial of Service attack (DDoS), web application attacks, and database theft through a SQL Injection vulnerability. Players will then pivot to a wireless network attack and hack an Android device.

Tools utilized in this challenge include Nmap, MegaPing, NetBIOS Enumerator, L0phtCrack, Hping3, HOIC, Burp Suite, Sqlmap, Aircrack-ng, and Metasploit.

NERCOMP has 10 seats available for this special event so register today.
