he University of Maine System is seeking a collaborative and experienced IT Human Resources Subject Matter Analyst to support and enhance the systems that drive Human Capital Management (HCM) across our campuses. This role plays a critical role in aligning HR technology with institutional needs, ensuring our platforms, such as PeopleSoft HCM and Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting, effectively support recruiting, payroll, benefits, and time & labor functions.

As a key liaison among IT, HR, and Payroll departments, you'll work across functional teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions. If you're passionate about using technology to improve operations and enjoy working with diverse teams, we invite you to apply.

This position has the option of being remote or located at one of the University locations throughout the state. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to expert for complex technical issues related to HR, Payroll, and Benefit systems.
- Collaborate with IT peers and campus stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Lead configuration, environment setup, and implementation tasks for HCM and recruiting systems.
- Evaluate new features and system capabilities, and recommend improvements aligned with business needs.
- Generate reports and perform data analysis to support HR and Payroll decision-making.
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and rollouts.
- Stay current on legal/regulatory changes, industry trends, and technology advancements.

Salary and Benefits
The hiring range for this full-time, regular position is $65,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience. The University of Maine System offers a highly competitive benefits package that includes (but is not limited to):

Required Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
* Five or more years of experience with PeopleSoft HCM, Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting, or similar systems.
* Solid understanding of HCM and Payroll processes, with the ability to assess stakeholders' needs and design effective system-based and best-of-breed tool solutions.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong customer service orientation.
* Skilled in delivering effective training on complex topics.
* Ability to plan and organize work efficiently to manage time and meet responsibilities and deadlines.
* Innovative thinker with a demonstrated ability to leverage existing and emerging technologies to create new, practical solutions to meet evolving needs.
* Highly adaptable and able to respond positively to change, learn new technologies quickly, and adjust effectively to shifting strategies, priorities, or assignments.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the ability to evaluate outcomes, refine approaches, and apply lessons learned.
* Effective collaborator and leader, capable of coordinating efforts across multiple groups to achieve shared objectives.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
* Experience in higher education.
* Experience supporting PeopleSoft HCM in a higher education environment.
* Experience as a group leader implementing and supporting enterprise application software.
* Familiarity with Administrative Support within the University of Maine System.
* Understanding of PeopleSoft and Cloud tools such as P-Query, OTBI, and BIP.
* Knowledge of project planning and implementation practices.
