MassArt is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and detail-oriented Senior Web Producer to join its Marketing and Communications team. Reporting to the Director of Web and Digital Strategy, this role is responsible for producing, maintaining, and improving content across the College's public website and internal digital platforms.
The Senior Web Producer combines web production, editorial and visual quality assurance, accessibility, digital asset management, project coordination, editor support, and cross-campus collaboration to ensure MassArt's digital presence is engaging, accurate, accessible, and reflective of the College's creative community.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on production work with larger institutional initiatives, building relationships with colleagues across the College, and continuously improving the user experience through thoughtful content and digital best practices.
This position is represented by the Association of Professional Administrators (APA).
[Required Qualifications]:
Four or more years of experience in web production, digital communications, content management, or a related field.
Experience creating, editing, and publishing digital content in WordPress or another modern CMS.
Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
Experience coordinating projects and managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Strong visual judgment and understanding of information hierarchy, typography, photography, and user experience.
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards and experience applying accessible publishing practices to web pages, documents, images, or multimedia content.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
[Preferred Qualifications]:
Experience managing website content for a higher education institution, the arts, a nonprofit organization, or another complex institution.
Experience using ticketing platforms and project management software such as TeamDynamix and Asana.
Experience supporting or training distributed website editors.
Experience producing email newsletters, HTML templates, or managing multimedia content.
Working knowledge of JavaScript for supporting interactive components and troubleshooting basic front-end issues.
Familiarity with web analytics, behavioral analytics platforms, SEO, CRM list management, or digital accessibility testing tools.
