What role would you like to play in organizing this workshop? I’d like to organize a workshop on this topic but I need assistance in how to do it.
Intended Audience: Higher Ed managers, directors, faculty and staff
Proposal:
Liberating Structures have been around for some time: https://www.liberatingstructures.com/
My colleague and I would like to explore the use of these microstructures to engage the full compliment of voices at your institution. These structures can provide unconventional pathways of engagement, and help us to get at a greater diversity of ideas and viewpoints that may otherwise be stifled by more conventional approaches.
Learning Objectives:
Introduce the concept of Liberating Structures.
Briefly review the 33 microstructures and how best to apply them (whether to use in smaller or larger groups, etc.).
Study and learn about a small complement (3-4?) of the existing 33 microstructures.
Apply these structures in break out groups, or with one large group.
Takeaway the other structures to learn on your own time.
Event Type: In-person workshop
Track: Leadership & Organizational Development
