Event Overview
We’re one year into the ADA Title II updates mandating all public entities receiving government funding achieve conformance with the WCAG 2.1 level AA standards for all websites and mobile applications.

So, where are your organizations in their digital accessibility journeys?

Have you established a strategic digital accessibility plan, achieved top-down buy-in, designed and implemented a roadmap for consistent accessibility? Or, are you struggling to receive senior-level support, encountering roadblocks and/or push-back from stakeholders when trying to design, facilitate, and achieve strategic digital access goals? If you feel more closely aligned with the latter, you are not alone! Better yet, there are strategies you can implement today to change your digital landscape moving forward.

We’ll discuss what is and is not covered under the regulations, identify key internal and external resources for remediation and accessible content creation, and outline a roadmap for creating and executing a sustainable digital accessibility plan in order to achieve the greatest level of access possible by the looming deadline.

Session Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand how to accurately assess their current digital landscape.
- Articulate a minimum of 4 strategies to achieve buy-in from a diverse pool of
stakeholders.
- Identify current digital accessibility priorities for their organization that will make the
biggest impact on their conformance with WCAG 2.1, level AA.
- Use examples from the session to best protect their organization in the event they have not fully met all conformance standards by the stated deadline.
