Get ready to level up your innovation and/or teaching skills with our brand-new NERCOMP AI Showcase Professional Development Series—a dynamic, fast-paced exploration of how artificial intelligence is transforming higher education!

Each session features two engaging 15-20 minute spotlight presentations in which faculty and/or staff share real-world examples of AI tools in action: boosting student success, streamlining workflows, enhancing creativity, and reimagining learning experiences. Designed for curious beginners and seasoned tech explorers alike, this series offers practical insights you can apply immediately, plus the chance to connect with colleagues who are shaping the future of AI-powered education. Join us and discover what’s possible!

This session will incorporate two presentations from Babson College, including:

Roger: Building Babson's AI Agent for students
Over the past 3 years, Babson has moved from AI pilots and co-creation to scaling and measurement with AI. This Fall, we launched an integrated AI stack for our community, driving a 5x increase in engagement from the community in 2 short months. We'll share the strategy behind it and take a closer look at Roger, our Entrepreneurial Thinking & Learning Agent. Roger brings together 3 pieces: a Babson AI platform, MCP connections to campus data, and a Socratic prompt design that coaches students instead of handing them answers. We've had 700+ conversations across the Roger agents, and we'll talk about our journey from pilot to implementation.

Session Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
-Describe varied applications of artificial intelligence
-Apply specific tools to relevant scenarios on their own campus
-Enhance their own AI practices
