Event Overview
The digital landscape in higher education is about to change—are you ready? New digital accessibility standards under Title II of the ADA and Section 504 will soon be mandatory for public institutions and those receiving HHS funding. Join us for a timely, practical session exploring what’s changing, who it impacts, and how to prepare. We’ll break down the regulations, discuss the evolving legal landscape, and examine the role vendors play in ensuring compliance. Plus, get insights into potential shifts under the new presidential administration and how private colleges may be affected.
Session Outcomes:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Explain the current and upcoming digital accessibility requirements under the ADA and Section 504 and assess their impact on your institution.
- Identify practical steps your institution can take to prepare for compliance, including policy updates, training, and campus-wide awareness.
- Evaluate vendor accessibility commitments and understand their role in supporting your institution’s digital accessibility obligations.
