Event Overview
Generative AI will continue to impact a variety of practices throughout higher education.  How can institutions intentionally respond to these new tools in ways that reflect the reality of their presence while also speaking to concerns and challenges about how they are used in different capacities throughout the institution from students to faculty to staff to leadership?  This session will include a series of conversations, breakouts, and workshopping around how institutional representatives can develop, co-create, and advocate for policies that engage in thoughtful consideration of the possibilities and problems posed by the rise of AI-generative tools related to higher education.

Session Outcomes:
Participants will be able to:
 - Identify practices & concerns of AI Generative tools for higher education institutions
 - Develop policy considerations around the usage of AI Generative Tools across a given campus
 - Contribute to policy recommendations for the use of AI Generative Tools for a variety of institutional stakeholders
