Business Office and Information Technology Relationships - CFO/CIO Dialogue (a Leadership Ecosystem Webinar)

Fredrick Kass
Fred Kass is Assistant Vice President for Information Services and Associate CIO at Trinity College. He is responsible for budgeting, planning and operations of most back-end components of Information Services including campus networks, wireless, servers, storage arrays, firewalls, machine rooms, network closets, security cameras, underground low voltage cables, client computers, telephones, cable television, and access control devices.

Throughout his higher education information technology career, he has been a strong proponent of inter-institutional collaboration. He is a member of the Connecticut Education Network Technical Advisory Council, Connecticut Commission for Educational Technology Infrastructure Advisory Council, as well as a Board Member and Treasurer of NERCOMP. Fred was Principle Investigator for the National Science Foundation grant CC*DNI Campus Design: Trinity College Next Generation Science Network and DMZ. 

Fred has an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management and is an alum of the EDUCAUSE Leadership Institute and CLIR/EDUCAUE Leading Change Institute.


Keith 'Mac' McIntosh
Keith is Vice President for Information Services and CIO for the University of Richmond, where he is responsible for the day-to-day management and strategic development of the university’s technology and information vision. Mac has over 30 years of IT and executive experience in higher education and the military. He served previously as Associate Vice President and CIO at Ithaca College and Vice Chancellor for IT and CIO at Pima County Community College District and held progressive leadership and management positions during his distinguished 24.5-year service in the United States Air Force.

Mac is a member and former chair of the Advisory Board for the Center for Higher Education Chief Information Officer Studies (CHECS). He is a board member for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and the Leadership Board for CIOs. McIntosh holds an MBA with honors from Trident University International and a BS in management information systems from Bellevue University. He completed the Center for Creative Leadership program in 2016, and was a 2012 Leading Change Institute Fellow. He completed the EDUCAUSE Institute Leadership Program and CIO Executive Council (CEC) Pathways Leadership Development Program. Mac has written for EDUCAUSE Review and Business Officer. He is a diversity, equity, and inclusion advocate, and is passionate about developing aspiring IT leaders. He served as an EDUCAUSE Institute Management Program Faculty and received the inaugural EDUCAUSE Rising Star Award in 2011. He is a sought-after speaker who has delivered numerous conference keynotes.


Matthew 'Matt' Orlando
Matt has served as senior vice president for finance and administration and treasurer since January 2017. He joined the Bowdoin staff as controller in 2006 and was promoted to vice president for finance and assistant treasurer in 2014.

A chartered financial analyst, Orlando earned his undergraduate degree in economics Phi Beta Kappa with honors at Trinity College in Hartford, and an MBA at St. Xavier University in Chicago. He serves currently on the boards of the Town of Brunswick Trust Investment Advisory Committee and the United Way of Mid Coast Maine, and as board treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee for Mid Coast-Parkview Health.


Joanne Yestramski
Joanne Yestramski has a long and accomplished career in financial management, administration and information technology services. She has spent nearly two decades working in the field of higher education, at both public and private institutions in New England. As Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance, Operations, and Strategic Planning at UMass Lowell, she is also a member of the Chancellor’s Executive Cabinet. 

Prior to her appointment at UMass Lowell, Yestramski was employed as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the University of Maine System. She also served as Vice President of Finance and Treasurer at Bentley College and in similar capacities at the Providence Journal, Museum of Science in Boston, BioTechnica International and KPMG Peat Marwick. 

Yestramski has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University and is a certified public accountant. She currently serves on the Board of Directors at Jeanne D’arc Credit Union, Merrimack Repertory Theatre and the Board of Directors of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO). She received the NACUBO Distinguished Business Officer Award in July 2016.
