Event Overview

“Layer 8” is geek slang referring to a person using a piece of technology. Technology is a virtually indispensable part of our everyday lives. People use technology for almost every activity conceivable and that technology collects and records vast amount of information about us. This day-long program will explore how we help people understand how and why they need to make good security decisions.

We will explore various security training and education considerations, and review useful frameworks you can use to target your particular areas of concern and can then use to grow a comprehensive awareness and training program. We will provide material you may freely rebrand and use, along with live examples and models that you can practice, and references to online sources of more free or paid material. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss and share initiatives that have worked and those that have not, helping us all build for greater future success and security.
