Event Overview
Do you want to create or support faculty in creating interactive, integrative, and engaging content for online courses?  In this session, you will discover the benefits of choice boards, learn how to create a board, and locate resources to continue creating choice boards for your course.  Choice is a key component of learner-centered teaching. Providing choice enhances learning by increasing engagement and motivation, and can support communication and collaboration. Choice boards support the Universal Design for Learning.  In the session, explore the benefits of using choice boards to promote interactive integrative learning through an example from an interdisciplinary course.  After a demonstration, you will create a choice board.  The session will conclude with feedback, questions, and discussion.

Session Outcomes:
Participants will be able to:
 - Explain the benefits of using choice boards to promote interactive integrative learning.
 - Describe how the choice board uses the Universal Design for Learning to support diverse learning styles and engage students and assess learning.
 - Practice steps in creating a choice board
