Event Overview

In this session, participants will learn about MediaKron, Boston College’s emerging web-based application developed to meet faculty members’ need to easily organize digital instructional materials and to create a dynamic interactive learning environment.

Through an interactive exploration of the application, participants will learn how to use MediaKron to build customized sites utilizing a variety of features – including maps and timelines – to organize, present, and juxtapose images, video, audio and text in flexible and innovative ways.

Participants will also learn about the six external colleges and universities who, with the support of the Davis Educational Foundation, have been selected to participate in The MediaKron Project to produce interactive course content using MediaKron. Presenters will describe how participants can get involved in this community of learners engaged in the use of MediaKron for creating digital scholarship.

Attendees should bring a laptop, not iPad, for the MediaKron activity.
