Event Overview

Humanities scholars are increasingly gathering more and different types of data, but they may lack experience analyzing data or reporting out on it. Visualizing data can reveal hidden patterns and trends. It's also a powerful way to communicate what you've learned. Visualizations can be static, interactive, precise, and artistic. Join us to learn more about data visualization theories and practices. Explore how effective data visualizations can also be beautiful, and see examples of different visualization tools and techniques. You will also have the opportunity to try these techniques and tools yourself, using your own data or data we provide. Participants will have supported workshop time to plan, build, share, and compare visualizations to gain a better sense of how to use them in all areas of scholarly communication.

Please bring a laptop, and if you have data you would like to visualize, bring that as well.
Registration is limited to 25 people.
