Event Overview
NERCOMP invites you to join the NERCOMP CLASS (Collaborate, Listen, Accelerate, Share & Support): Using Design Elements to Promote Deeper Learning. These mini-deep dives allow participants to learn and create a framework that can be implemented at their own college/university. You will earn a digital credential for your completion of all related activities and assignments.
Do you want to enhance your students' learning experiences and enable them to utilize what they learn outside of the classroom? Join us for this 5-part series that focuses on an instructional model using design elements to support deeper learning practices in students. Participants engage in learning about a collection of assessment, instructional, and content-related design elements and then apply them to a current or future class.
Session Outcomes
Upon completion of the Using Design Elements to Promote Deeper Learning Practices, participants will be able to:
- Expand their understanding of instructional design and practices
- Apply and integrate design elements into their courses
- Conceptualize deeper learning in their discipline
