Event Overview

The Digital Humanities (DH) is an emerging, but not new field of academic and scholarly inquiry. As such, many scholars have had to figure out how, with their own oftentimes traditional humanities training, to pursue DH on a shoestring budget. Many of us have struggled with how to train a rising generation of academics who will pursue careers in an increasing digital landscape. Additionally, how will our born-digital scholarship be preserved into the future? What kind of institutional commitments can we expect? Or promise? This NERCOMP Professional Development Opportunity (PDO) will explore those three areas: Pedagogy, Research, and Preservation in the Digital Humanities for institutions large and small. How can our humanists, libraries, and archives all move forward together?
