Event Overview
Anti-racism is a strategic program at most, if not all, of our institutions, and understanding how to successfully address it is critical to all of our roles. In comes, Anti-Racism in Academia (ARiA)'s grassroots, volunteer-led effort, learning journey, which provides a way for higher ed employees to engage in self-examination through national, intersectional conversations.

Come learn how Wesleyan University, working in conjunction with the national ARiA program, piloted their ARiA signature ROLLAP program.
Bringing their skills from serving as facilitators for the national program, Karen Warren and Rachel Schepper were able to create an intimate setting at Wesleyan to lead two cohort sessions - one online and one in person - through the ARiA Rollup program.
They will reflect on the transition from participating in a national DEI program to bringing it to a local level. Share both the challenges and opportunities that this local version of the program offered and how they addressed them. Spark up a conversation among audience participants about what you encounter as the challenges and opportunities in doing DEI work at your campuses.

Learning Outcomes:
- Understand the impact of scope and scale of DEI work
- Facilitate discussion among attendees on doing DEI work at your institutions
- Learn new models for doing DEI work
