Event Overview
Have you considered opportunities lost when support tickets aren't considered while planning instructional design efforts? As instructional designers we also consider key data sources, such as LMS statistics, course evaluations and an expanded redesign approach to include qualitative feedback from support tickets.

Our process streamlines feedback from faculty tickets, student tickets, and technical issues. We use these data to inform deep course redesign and the speed at which a course can be refined. For example, several tickets on one issue creates an immediate need to make proactive refinements, but we are able to collect feedback over years for a mature course. IDs, faculty, and subject matter experts gain more context from this process.

We will showcase a handful of ways to collect these data and methods for implementing similar approaches at your institution.

Session Outcomes:
 - Implementing tailored methods for collecting data points for redesign
 - Adapting instructional design efforts based on proactive and reactive contexts
 - Calibrating feedback from adjuncts and student-facing departments
