Event Overview
Using Mindfulness techniques to check-in and find new ways to lead with clarity and vulnerability amidst challenging circumstances.

The pandemic has shined a very bright light on the many places in our communities and institutions where we need to do a better job of caring for one another. Yet with a crisis of this magnitude, it’s possible for leaders and educators to become overwhelmed, burned out, and paralyzed. This unprecedented global crisis has called us to reconsider what’s working and what needs to be surrendered. Many are recognizing that resilience practices are not a luxury, but an absolute necessity if we want to work in higher education sustainably and effectively over time. Join with colleagues for mindfulness practice and brave conversation about the new normal we have an opportunity to create in our universities.

Learning Outcomes:

- Learn resilience practices that can support us personally and professionally as we adapt to the new normal
 - Identify what dimensions of the old normal are not in service to our full humanity
 - Examine the role of mindfulness practice in supporting emotional and physical wellbeing
 - Share brave conversation about how we can design a more equitable future that we are passionate about and can live into wholeheartedly

Note: These sessions will not be recorded. In order to be able to prioritize group connection and experience; participants will have the option to turn cameras and microphones on during the sessions.
