Event Overview
This CLASS is designed for higher education professionals at any career stage who want to incorporate basic instructional design principles into their work to enhance communication, engagement, and learning outcomes. Through hands-on exercises, participants will learn to understand their audience, define clear outcomes, collaborate effectively with subject matter experts, and incorporate iterative feedback for continuous improvement. From small group presentations to campus-wide initiatives, this guided tour offers accessible tools and techniques to elevate the impact of any project involving information transfer. Attendees will receive an Instructional Design 101 digital credential upon completion of all requirements.
Session Outcomes
By the end of the CLASS, participants will:
- Describe and apply core instructional design principles to enhance their impact in team-based or project roles.
- Use practical instructional design strategies to outline a project with clear outcomes and audience engagement.
- Identify and plan for common challenges in the project lifecycle, applying mitigation strategies for successful outcomes.
