NERCOMP and CTDLC have formed a partnership to offer online courses. This is the second course offering.

Event Overview
The purpose of this course is to provide information about:
  - what qualifies as Open Educational Resources (OER),
  - the benefits OER offers to instructors and students,
  - how to implement OER, and
  - the difference between OER and open licenses.

We will also provide opportunities to practice locating and sharing OER.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  - Describe the meaning of OER.
  - Identify OER artifacts and distinguish the different types of Creative Commons licenses.
  - Differentiate the concepts of open licensing, public domain, and all rights reserved copyrights.
  - Locate and attribute OER.
  - Analyze OER implementation strategies and plan for the application of OER.

This is a 4-week online, asynchronous course with an optional additional fifth week offered for the completion of final projects. This is a fully facilitated training course that will produce a certificate of completion for participants who complete all required elements, including discussions and the final project. Participants who are fully engaged in this experience can expect to spend up to 5 hours on the coursework each week.

Login details will be sent to participants prior to the start of the course.
