Event Overview
Have you ever tried to navigate the array of pedagogies and pedagogical approaches that have arisen over the past few decades in higher education? It can almost put you in a panic! No need to fret at this workshop will create a map briefly exploring the wide range of pedagogies and approaches in a short, sweet, and to-the-point manner.
Starting with a map that includes accessibility, andragogy, anti-racist practices, critical pedagogy, culturally relevant pedagogy, integrative learning, OER, open pedagogy, trauma-informed pedagogy, UDL, etc.
Then participants and the facilitators will engage in a series of collaborative activities to begin mapping the relationships among these different pedagogies, as well as identify ways each can serve as an onboarding opportunity to a variety of practices in higher education that center the student, embody the best of inclusive practices, and empower student agency and learning.
